Trophy Eyes Rosato


Recently we headed down to our good friends winery, Golden Child, to blend up this new collaboration with Trophy Eyes. Exploring Floreani’s Italian roots we put together a fresh light Rosato style wine ready to be enjoyed by everyone. Representing time and place, the time is summer, and the place is around a long table with friends and family. Trophy Eyes Rosato will get the conversation flowing and good the times going.

“I had the privilege of travelling to Adelaide to taste and blend a wine at Golden Child winery in Kuitpo. My dear friends Trad Nathan and Jimmy helped articulate my vision into a rustic Italian Rosato. A little rough around the edges, but simple, subtle and beautiful; the punk rock of wines. Hand bottled, hand labeled, and intended to be shared between friends, chilled, in the sun. Smoke, drink, eat and enjoy the Trophy Eyes Rosato.” John Floreani

From Jimmy, Golden Child – “Syrah juice was pressed directly onto Grenache skins and wild fermented for three days, then pressed to neutral oak barrels to complete fermentation. The finished wine was matured on full lees for six months and bottled by hand at the winery. The result is a rosato style light red that is tight, taunt and delicious. There’s an explosion of savoury, crunchy red fruits, with supple texture and a tangy finish.” Serve chilled.
